Supported Cameras
USB and Firewire webcams
Vitamin D Video supports the standards needed to work with any camera that plugs into a USB or Firewire port (including cameras built into laptops or monitors). Incompatibilities with specific models and workarounds are described here.
Network (IP) cameras
To use network cameras, Vitamin D Video requires some model-specific settings to be entered. Cameras that appear in the list below have their settings pre-configured in Vitamin D Video. If your model is not in the list, you can try settings for similar models, or look for the settings in our forum posts. More details can be found here.
Analog (CCTV) cameras
Vitamin D Video does not work directly with analog cameras, but there are products called "encoders" that convert analog video signals to digital formats. Some encoders are listed below, and others may work if you can find the appropriate settings. More information on compatible encoders can be found here.
